Every frame we make begins with the artwork itself. At Salvador Framing, we believe a frame should never overpower a piece, but quietly support and elevate it. Each project is approached individually, considering the character of the artwork, its colours, proportions, period and the space it will live in.

Our frames are made using traditional techniques and carefully selected materials. Depending on the piece, this may include hand-applied gesso, painted finishes, patinas or gilding. We are particularly interested in surfaces that feel lived-in, balanced and timeless rather than overly perfect or industrial.

Alongside contemporary framing, we also work with antique frames — restoring, adapting and conserving them with sensitivity and respect for their original character.

For us, framing is not simply about presentation. It is part of the dialogue between the artwork, the object and the space around it.
